a tidbit i found....
Wed, August 1, 2007 A superlative folding Parcheesi game board with tiny American flag painted in the center went to Marc Brown, creator of the children's character Arthur, at $46,000. "I'm a sucker for game boards," Brown said. "I just love them."
That price puts Brown's game board into a tie with Virginia Cave's flag game board, which sold at Northeast Auctions last August for a record game board auction price.
A great double-sided game board with checkerboard on one side and a coiled snake with green numbered ovals the length of his body on the other went to dealer Stephen Score at $36,800.
